Women across Nigeria play a critical role in maintaining household stability, yet many lack access to skills training and financial resources. This week, Lifeline Care Foundation held a small business and empowerment workshop aimed at helping women strengthen their economic independence.
The sessions were practical and straightforward. Participants learned about basic budgeting, managing small income streams, simple recordkeeping, and how to identify low-cost business opportunities in their communities. Many women shared personal challenges—rising prices, unstable income, and the pressure of providing for their families.
The training created an open environment where participants could ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another. For many women, this was the first time they received structured guidance on how to turn small ideas into workable businesses. Topics included home-based sales, food preparation, tailoring, reselling essentials, and other viable micro-enterprises.
At the end of the workshop, the women expressed renewed confidence and clarity. Empowering women is not just about providing skills—it’s about strengthening entire families and communities. When women thrive, their households become more secure, children have better opportunities, and communities become stronger.
