Nigeria’s youth hold immense potential, but many lack access to opportunities that help them build leadership skills. This week’s youth development program brought together teenagers and young adults for a series of engaging sessions designed to build confidence, communication, and life skills.
The sessions included leadership exercises, teamwork activities, and open conversations about real-life challenges facing young people today. Participants explored goal setting, personal development, problem-solving, and how to take initiative in their communities.
Many young people shared how they often feel overlooked or uncertain about their future. Through this program, they found a space where their voices were valued and their ideas taken seriously. Mentors encouraged them to think creatively, express themselves with confidence, and envision positive paths forward.
By the end of the program, participants left with a stronger sense of self-belief and motivation. Supporting youth development helps strengthen local leadership, reduce vulnerability, and create a generation capable of driving long-term change in their communities.
